Apollo Tyres was recently awarded the Global Green Future Leadership Award 2016 by World CSR Congress. This well-established, family-run business received 142 reviews during the course of the campaign, which ran from the 4th to the 31st of January. Goodyear Dunlop Tyres UK has been awarded Top Employers United Kingdom 2016 and Top Employers Europe 2016 certification by Netherlands-based organisation Top Employers Institute. The tyre maker’s UK business gained Top Employer certification along with Goodyear’s European headquarters and 11 other national and regional operations. This is the fourth consecutive year that Goodyear Dunlop has gained certification in the UK and Europe.

The Independent Garage Association’s (IGA) Diagnostic Specialist Award has been developed to showcase the diagnostic abilities of independent garages to consumers and fleets through a robust technical assessment.
The accreditation will recognise the diagnostic capability of an independent garage and verify that they have the ability to communicate with the latest technology in cars. The brand will, by its very nature, signpost independents to fleet operators and consumers who own and operate new cars.

Mike Welch, the founder and CEO of Blackcircles.com and long-time supporter of adoption and fostering charities in Scotland and the UK is to receive the OBE.
Named in the Queen’s new year’s honours list, which was published on 30 December, Welch has been given the OBE for ”services to business and voluntary service to adoption and fostering”.
