Mak has added no less than 7 new products to its light alloy range. Specifically, Mak presents Monza, Stark, Chelsea, Asphalt and Qvarz, which are designed for Alfa Romeo, Audi, Mini and Volkswagen drivers.

Falken 17-19” tyres for Audi A3 allstreet
The Audi A3 allstreet is the crossover of the family, offering an extra three centimetres ground clearance than the Sportback. Series-standard 17-inch wheels are housed in the widened wheel arches, making them one dimension larger than on the A3 Sportback. Wheels in 18- and 19-inch diameter are available as an option. Falken Tyre Europe is supplying several tyre models as original equipment.
Audi A3 allstreet fitted with Falken tyres
The Audi A3 allstreet, the characterful crossover model from the Audi A3 family, is fitted with Azenis FK510A AO (Audi Original) tyres. In Ingolstadt, where the Audi is produced, tyres have been supplied in 205/55R17 95W XL, 225/45R18 95W XL and 225/49R19 93W XL sizes since April 2024.
Goodyear OE tyres on Audi Q6 e-tron
Goodyear tyres have been chosen as original equipment (OE) on the Audi Q6 e-tron, the German automaker’s new fully electric premium SUV. Goodyear’s Audi Q6 e-tron fitments come from its Eagle F1 Asymmetric and UltraGrip ranges for summer and winter applications, respectively. The approved fitments will fit multiple trim levels, with Goodyear’s SKUs ranging from 18” to 21”. Goodyear reports that it collaborated closely with Audi throughout the modelling and testing phases of tyre development, resulting in fitments specifically tailored to enhance the vehicle’s performance.

Continental recalls >146,000 car tyres and 100s of truck tyres in North America
Across the Atlantic, Continental Tire the Americas, LLC (Continental) is conducting two parallel recalls. The largest relates to Continental’s ProContact GX AO tyres. According to US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) filings, centres on size 255/35R19 96H XL fitments of the tyre made between 9 May 2021 and 17 August 2024 and relates to potential belt separation issues. Continental reports that ProContact GX AO was mainly sold as an OE fitment for the Audi A4/A5. But approximately 10 per cent of the affected tyres were sold in the US replacement market. As many as 146,568 tyres are covered by the recall and Continental estimates that 100 per cent have the described defect.
Audi introduces Falken Azenis RS820 as option for new S3
Audi’s latest S3 model is now available with Falken’s super-ultra high-performance (SUHP) tyre, the Azenis RS820. This marks the first time a vehicle has left the Audi factory equipped with this advanced tyre. This tailored original equipment tyre differs from its aftermarket counterpart in a number of ways, the most visible difference being the tread pattern.

In recent months, Linglong Serbia tyre factory has been certified by car manufacturers including: Nissan, Volkswagen, Audi, Ford, Stellantis group, Hyundai and Kia as well as the truck manufacturer MAN and approved for the production of original equipment tyres – an essential prerequisite for the production of tyres specified for delivery to automobile manufacturers.
Pirelli exclusive tyre for Audi RS 4 Avant edition 25 years
Audi Sport has selected Pirelli as exclusive tyre partner for the Audi RS 4 Avant edition 25 years. The anniversary edition of the sports estate car offers two tyre options: Pirelli P Zero Corsa as original equipment, and a specific track kit consisting of Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS tyres with Cyber technology, combined with Pirelli’s Track Adrenaline system, both in 275/30R20 size.
Audi selects Continental SportContact 7 for RS 6 Avant performance
Audi is factory-fitting its RS 6 Avant performance with Continental SportContact 7 tyres. Continental shares that it has obtained global approval for equipping this Audi model with a 22-inch fitment, and in numerous markets including the UK and Ireland the tyre of choice is the SportContact 7 AO Silent in size 285/30 ZR 22 101Y XL FR.
Audi fitting Nexen tyres to latest A3
Nexen Tire reports that Audi A3 models sold in Europe are available with factory fitted Nexen N’Fera Sport and N’Blue 4 Season tyres. The fourth generation A3 wears the N’Fera Sport in size 225/40R18 92Y XL and the N’Blue 4 Season in 225/45R17 94V XL.
Audi joins Formula 1
Audi will compete in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship with a specially developed power unit from 2026. The project will be based at Audi Sport’s facility in Neuburg near Ingolstadt. This is the first time in more than a decade that a Formula 1 power train will be built in Germany. Audi will announce a decision on which team they will be lining up with in 2026 by the end of this year.
Hankook OE on Audi Q4 e-tron & Q4 Sportback e-tron
Hankook Tire has expanded the portfolio of original equipment products it supplies to electric vehicles with tyres for two new Audi models, the Q4 e-tron and Q4 Sportback e-tron. These compact SUVs will leave the factory on Hankook Ventus S1 evo 3 ev tyres. Depending on model and equipment level, Audi will fit the Hankook tyre in 19- to 21-inch dimensions.
£193m out of court settlement reached in VW Group Emissions case
Solicitors Slater and Gordon has announced that an out of court settlement has been reached in the Volkswagen NOx Emissions Group Litigation, whereby £193m will be made to the claimants by the Volkswagen Group, plus a separate contribution towards the Claimants’ legal costs and fees.
