The challenges facing the remarketing sector in 2020 is the subject of a major, free seminar that has been announced by the Vehicle Remarketing Association, which represents organisations involved in buying, selling and preparing 1.5 million used vehicles every year.
Used car volumes set to increase in September due to plate change
National Association of Motor Auctions (NAMA) members are positive about the prospects of used cars following the number plate change. “More than 80 per cent of NAMA members are expecting vehicle volumes to increase or remain steady in September. The increase will be promoted by the number plate change with both dealer part-exchanges and leasing company de-fleets arriving at remarketing centres,” said Louise Wallis, head of NAMA, commenting on the latest figures from NAMA’s market attitude survey.
NAMA’s 50th AGM raises £24,000 for Great Ormond Street
The National Association of Motor Auctions (NAMA) held its annual AGM on the 18 May in the Algarve, Portugal. A charity auction in aid of Great Ormond Street Children’s hospital took place following the AGM, raising £24,000.
IAAF heads north for next Industry Briefing
The Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF) will hold its second Industry Briefing of 2019 at Involution’s new premises in Leeds on Thursday 20 June. The association invites aftermarket businesses to gather for insights into the industry. Sponsored by Involution, head of membership development, Mike Smallbone will open proceedings, with attendees offered presentations on industry developments from industry speakers.
Office manager role for IAAF’s Ann Silvester
The Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF) has made Ann Silvester office manager. Silvester joined the Federation back in 2000 as trade secretary, where she has for the past 19 years made the role her own, supporting IAAF by overseeing all facilities of the office and being the first response on all IAAF enquiries including those relating to Block Exemption Regulation.
