The Allstar ServicePoint online service maintenance and repair (SMR) portal through is offering fleet tyres in conjunction with Colewood Automotive, which builds and operates a number of tyre retail websites in the UK, partnering with well-known brands such as ASDA, RAC and etyres.
At the end of April the UK’s second largest supermarket Sainsbury’s announced that it is merging with the Walmart-owned Asda supermarket. The goal? To push first-placed Tesco off the top-spot and to give the newly combined chain better access to different geographic areas and consumers. Michelin Lifestyle’s new Car Care Range will now be available nationwide from mid-April. The company had originally planned to launch the range by the end of March, but a warehouse fire at the products’ manufacturer delayed this.
Shoppers at the Asda supermarket in Colne, Lancashire, were the first members of the public in the UK to be offered the opportunity to have their car’s tyre tread depths examined with the new Hunter QuickTread drive over tread depth measurement system. The equipment was brought along and managed by wheel servicing equipment specialist Pro-Align in conjunction with Asda Tyres and Tyre Safe as part of its support for October’s Tyre Safety Month.
Supermarket giant Asda has joined forces with TyreSafe to bring vital lifesaving tyre safety messages to its stores and customers nationwide. Asda is the first major supermarket to join the non-profit tyre safety organisation, and it will work with TyreSafe to provide tyre safety advice and guidance to its 19 million customers through both its stores and the Asda.com/tyres website.
