epyx, the ecommerce fleet platform, has announced three new director level appointments. Aditya Varadpande has been appointed as director of the newly-created growth and marketing department. He shall also lead the company’s international operations.
Having joined engine detox specialist EDT Automotive as national sales manager in August, Jon Tatnall has been promoted to sales director with immediate effect. A motor trade man through and through, Tatnall was previously dealer principal at Yeomans Peugeot and Hyundai in Hastings. He started his career as a trainee sales executive at Sidlow Group, before taking increasingly senior roles at Lifestyle, Pinewood and Pendragon.
Pieter Dubois has been appointed as Heuver Tyrewholesale’s agriculture product manager. Previously employed as an account manager in Belgium and Luxembourg, Dubois said the move would allow him to return to his agricultural roots, envisaging some “fine-tuning” for the wholesaler’s existing segment team. Bertus Heuver, director Heuver Tyrewholesale, said Dubois would use “his enthusiasm and ambition to play a leading role” in the company’s agricultural operations. His appointment is also described as “the next step in [Heuver Tyrewholesale’s] planned growth scenario.
Michelin Tyre has appointed Stewart Pooley, 58, as UK original equipment country manager for the company’s truck and bus division. The 26-year Michelin veteran assumes the role after two years as sales manager for Michelin solutions. The role will see Pooley working closely with domestic bus, coach, trailer and truck manufacturers, as well as advising manufacturers importing finished vehicles into the UK from production plants worldwide.
Cooper Tire Europe has appointed Mirco Spiniella as its new business development director. Spiniella will be responsible for the implementation of Cooper’s sales and marketing strategy, with a focus on business intelligence and key account management in the German, Swiss, Spanish and French markets. He will report to Sylvain Borré, general manager European Subsidiaries.
Marangoni Industrial Tyres has appointed Patrick Avril as general manager of its French subsidiary, Marangoni Industries Manutention, based in Louvres, near Paris. The company said the appointment confirms the Marangoni Group’s interest in the French market and further strengthens its presence in an area where, thanks to the subsidiary, it has a leading position in the sale and service of tyres for industrial handling equipment. Marangoni claims a double-digit market share in the country.
Leading freight forwarder, Rhenus Logistics, has welcomed experienced logistics professional Tim Doggett as its new general manager, north west. The role will see Doggett take responsibility for the organisation’s sales and operations at its Trafford Park branch in Manchester and Liverpool branch in Frodsham, Cheshire.
Apollo Tyres has appointed former Pirelli CEO Francesco Gori as its new advisor for strategy. Part of Apollo Tyres’ management board, Gori will support the company in its goal of international growth, identification and development of new opportunities.

Goodyear Dunlop Tires Europe has appointed of Xavier Fraipont to the position of managing director, motorsport and motorcycle EMEA. Fraipont, formerly director, consumer tyre technology EMEA, replaces Sanjay Khanna, who has been appointed consumer sales and marketing director for emerging markets.
Eberspächer UK Ltd has appointed Steve Cranfield as its new chief financial officer. Cranfield arrives at Eberspächer UK –manufacturer and supplier of fuel-operated heating, air conditioning and climate control systems for automotive, marine, construction equipment and military applications – with 15 years of financial expertise, five of which were spent with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). In addition to Cranfield’s arrival, Eberspächer UK says it has strengthened the business elsewhere, adding resources to the storeroom, sales administration and CAD departments.
British tyre brand and World Rally Championship authorised tyre supplier Dmack has recruited the Pirelli veteran, Fiorenzo Brivio, who has been appointed to the newly created position of motorsport technical director. The brand, manufactured by China’s Yongtai, hopes to benefit from the technical expertise of Brivio, who they call “one of the world’s leading motorsport tyre engineers.”
Goodyear Dunlop marketing director consumer EMEA Hans Vrijsen has been appointed the new general manager for UK and Ireland of Goodyear Dunlop Tires UK. Vrijsen succeeds Erich Fric, who has been appointed consumer PBU sales & marketing director for Western Europe.
The Polish tyre and accessory racking manufacturer, Arcom has appointed Richard Ryder to the position of sales manager. Based at Arcom’s offices in Rzezawa, near Krakow, Ryder will deal mainly with UK customers, but with additional responsibility for other English-speaking customers in Europe.
CAM has appointed Dan Holton as technical delivery consultant, continuing its growth in 2015. Holton will facilitate and support the provision of systems into customers to meet designated KPIs, CAM said. He has 10 years’ experience in IT systems and analyst roles, delivering support to improve processes for organisations such as the NHS, BAE Systems and Pandi.
