Alfred Graham re-elected to ITMA presidency

Alfred Graham will continue as president of the International Tyre Manufacturers’ Association (ITMA) after he was re-elected to the ITMA presidency.

The vote was called as Graham had served his two year period of office, following which the association’s constitution requires the presidential selection process to be initiated. However, he was unanimously re-elected at the association’s annual general meeting recently held in Spain where it was also agreed he would continue as ITMA’s director.

Marangoni appoints Martin Kalagin as Central Technical Service director

Marangoni Retreading Systems has appointed Martin Kalagin as Central Technical Service director, reporting in this role to the chief executive officer of the group.

The Central Technical Service will define and implement the rules and the global guidelines, align the local plans and resources and coordinate the activities of all Technical Service Teams of Marangoni Retreading Systems Business Unit in Europe and overseas.

KPMG has appointed Justin Benson as its UK head of automotive. Benson joined the firm in 2000 and has risen to the level of director. KPMG states that has worked in the automotive sector for over a decade and is well known within the industry.

KPMG appoints Ed Thomas UK head of transport

KPMG has appointed Ed Thomas as its UK head of transport with immediate effect. Thomas joined the firm as a graduate in 1995 and was promoted to partner in 2013. He has been central to KPMG’s transport advisory business since he joined. Specialising in rail, he has led both policy reviews for Government and bidding engagements for the private sector in the UK. With a wide international grasp of the sector, Ed has also led rail projects in North America and Southeast Asia. Beyond rail, he advises public sector transport authorities on the funding of new infrastructure.

ZF Services UK appoints new product support engineer

ZF Services UK has appointed a new product support engineer responsible for driving forward its technical support and mentoring.

Simon Ackroyd has been appointed to the role, and will oversee training for its customer base and partners in the UK. Simon has worked with the ZF family since 2002, First with Hindle group as a workshop engineer before later progressing into a technical manager role with powertrain products Ltd. Altogether, he has more than 15 years’ automotive industry experience working with ZF.

ZC Rubber names Ákos Barcsik as field engineer manager

ZC Rubber has named Ákos Barcsik as its new field engineer manager, who will work from Zhongce Europe GmbH (ZC Europe) and provide targeted service for the European market.

Prior to joining ZC Rubber, Ákos Barcsik served as national field engineer manager for 9 years at Bridgestone East Europe. “Europe is an important market to ZC Rubber in its global business map.
