Cabot Corporation has announced that Eduardo Cordeiro, executive vice president, chief financial officer (CFO) and president of the Americas Region, will retire from Cabot at the end of 2018. He steps down from these roles effective 15 May 2018 at which time Erica McLaughlin, the company’s vice president of business operations for Cabot’s Reinforcement Materials segment and general manager of the tyre business, will become senior vice president and CFO. Cordeiro will remain with Cabot in an advisory capacity through the end of the year to assist in a smooth transition.
Pneumatic Components (PCL) has appointed Ken Holford to the newly-created role of UK Key account manager.
Holford will be the main point of contact for the established and future development of PCL’s growing account base. He brings a wealth of experience to the role, having held sales positions spanning industrial consumables, capital equipment and tooling within the automotive and engineering sectors.

Jaap van Wessum has been appointed general manager – Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) for Cooper Tire & Rubber Company Europe Ltd. He is based at Cooper Europe’s headquarters in Melksham, Wiltshire, and is part of the international management team of Luis Ceneviz, Cooper’s senior vice president & managing director – EMEA and Managing Director – Latin America.
Christopher Ball has been named senior vice president of Cooper Tire and Rubber and president of North America Tire Operations (NATO) effective March 19. He reports to company president and CEO Brad Hughes.

Bartec has appointed Steve Umney as the firm’s new product manager. Umney is a qualified vehicle technician with experience spanning over 20 years on the workshop floor including valuable technical assistance important to his new role at Bartec. Over last 10 years Umney has gained valuable product management experience in the Automotive Aftermarket managing hard parts and diagnostic equipment, most notably with Hella Gutmann Solutions.
With the appointment of experienced aftermarket professional Nigel Jacob as aftersales manager, Pro-Align is seeking to maintain its focus on aftersales care. The wheel servicing equipment specialist recruited Jacob from a specialist automotive dealer consultancy, where he was responsible for improving profitability and customer experience at a number of Toyota and Lexus dealerships around the country.
Namwook (NW) Jung was appointed the new managing director of Kumho Tire Europe GmbH in Offenbach am Main on 1 December, 2017, replacing Steve Yeom. He is responsible for the replacement business in Germany, Switzerland and the Benelux.
The chairman of the supervisory board of ZF Friedrichshafen AG, Dr. Franz-Josef Paefgen, and CEO Dr. Stefan Sommer have agreed Dr. Sommer will step down from office with immediate effect. Until a successor is appointed, Finance Board Member and CEO Deputy Representative, Dr. Konstantin Sauer (58), will assume the role of CEO on an interim basis.
