The Federation of Engine Re-manufacturers (FER) has made new appointments to the FER Board including its new President, as well as welcomed more businesses to its membership roster, as it looks to widen its support of the engine repair and remanufacturing sector.
CAM is expanding its software development team with the appointment of John Reed as a senior developer. According to the company, his appointment “highlights the importance the business places on the CAM ecosystem in creating products that support all forms of business, from multi depot retail outlets to mobile businesses that bring services to them”.
Falken Tyre Europe has revised its management structure. As a result, Markus Bögner, existing COO and managing director, is now COO and president of Falken Tyre Europe. Bögner, who has been at Falken since 2009, was primarily responsible for sales and marketing. The new role, effective from 1 March, enables Bögner to “focus on the overall running and performance of the growing business”, according to the company.
Goodyear Tyres has appointed Richard Tawlks as TruckForce’s equity business manager. Tawlks has a wealth of experience in reducing the cost of tyre ownership and committing to safety and service standards delivered by TruckForce. Tawlks will be responsible for the strategic leadership of the TruckForce equity business, ensuring customers receive an industry leading tyre service and maintenance partnership. Tawlks has 25 years of experience within the transport industry. He has been a TruckForce regional manager since 2014.
Cooper Tire & Rubber Company Europe has appointed René Delonge sales director, global OE light vehicle tyres. Delonge has many years of experience in the tyre industry, with previous positions at Apollo Vredestein and Hankook. Delonge will be responsible for overseeing and managing sales of original equipment (OE) motorcycle tyres, as well as global sales of OE light vehicle tyres. He will build relationships with OE manufacturers and grow Cooper’s business portfolio with global OE partners.
Marcus Broström has been appointed as Westlake Tyres’ Nordic sales manager.
Thomas L. Williams, chairman and CEO of Parker-Hannifin Corporation, has been elected to the board of directors of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company.

South Korean media sources report that the Board approved the appointment of vice president Jeon Dae-Jin (60) yesterday. Kumho also reported a net loss for the fourth consecutive year in its annual financial report.
Jun Ro Song was appointed president of Kumho Tire Europe on 1 January, 2019. He succeeds Kyungtai Ju, who has returned to Korea. The 53-year-old has held numerous positions with the Korean tyre manufacturer for almost 30 years.

Trinseo has appointed Frank Bozich has been named President and CEO, effective 4 March 2019. Bozich replaces Christopher D. Pappas, who recently announced his plans to retire following his tenure as President and CEO of Trinseo since 2010. Pappas will transition to the role of Special Adviser to the CEO effective 4 March as part of a transition plan.
Magna Tyres Group is expanding its network of offices and distribution into the United States and Canada. According to the company, Magna Tyres Group will start its expansion into the North American continent with an office in Canada.
Jean-Dominique Senard, chief executive officer of the Michelin Group, became chairman of the Board of Directors of Renault effective 24 January 2019. According to the company, Senard’s acceptance comes with “the full backing of all participants in Michelin’s governance system”. He will continue to serve as Michelin Group CEO until his term expires in May 2019.
