The Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd. has decided to promote one of its senior technical executives, Koji Watanabe, and increase his area of responsibility. According to a statement issued by the company on 29 March, the decision took effect from 30 March 2022.
European Tyre Enterprise Ltd (ETEL) has announced that CEO Shinjiro (Sean) Tanaka is taking on a new role as group chairman. Replacing him as CEO is Yutaka Kimbara, who is currently group director of the Europe & CIS General Products & Realty Group of Itochu Europe PLC, which is part of ETEL’s parent company Itochu Corp. of Japan.
The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company has appointed Christian Gadzinski as senior director of Investor Relations. He reports to Christina Zamarro, vice president, Finance & Treasurer.
Autodoc has appointed Moritz Diekmann as vice president brand management responsible for the development and implementation of then the online auto part retailer’s brand strategy. Within that role, the 49-year-old will develop the Autodoc brand as well as its own brands Ridex and Stark. According to the company, an international team of marketing experts in Berlin and Odessa is available to him for this purpose. Diekmann reports directly to CEO Christian Gisy.
Prometeon Tyre Group UK has appointed Jamie Courtnage as Business Development Manager for the North East. He is responsible for new business and account management for Prometeon’s customer base of truck, bus and coach operators and tyre dealers in the eastern part of the country from Norwich to the Scottish Borders.
Sumitomo Rubber South Africa (SRSA), manufacturer of the Dunlop, Sumitomo and Falken tyre brands for the African continent, has appointed Anca Priscu as group director: production.
BA Bush & Son has recruited tyre industry veteran Colin Creasey to its agricultural trade team. Creasey has specialised in the agricultural tyre sector, from farm implement tyres to lawn and turf tyres, throughout his career, which began at Fossitt & Thorne in 1978. After running his own company, Colin Creasey Tyres, supplying the car, truck and agricultural segments for 16 years, he became general manager at Europa Tyres – a role he performed for 21 years. At BA Bush, Creasey joins the growing BAB Distribution trade team at the new 70,000 square foot Boston Warehouse. The company says he will help bolster BAB’s agricultural tyre trade, as well as the original equipment (OE) department, helping with speciality OE2.
Tech Europe introduced Dinara Izmaylova as the newest member of its team on 5 October. Based in company’s Rovereto, Italy office, Izmaylova joins as a new sales area manager covering Russia, Scandinavia, Finland and the Middle East, as well as the Baltic and CIS regions.
In August Wayne Daniel, network operations manager UK, announced the appointment of Tony Valentine as business development manager within the Point S UK team. Valentine, who joined in July has worked in the tyre industry for 40 years latterly with Yokohama HPT.
Yokohama has appointed Gregorio Borgo as president and CEO of Yokohama´s European headquarters, Yokohama Europe GmbH. He succeeds the current president, Hiroyuki Shioiri, who becomes chairman of Yokohama Europe GmbH effective 10 October 2021.
Nynas has appointed Johan Andersson as vice president Group Strategy & Sustainable Development in Nynas. Johan Andersson leaves the position as CEO of the National Oil Industry Association in Sweden, Drivkraft Sverige, to take on the role. As the CEO he has since 2019 launched a roadmap for climate-neutral competitiveness for the industry, restructured the industry association and repositioned it as an organisation for innovative and sustainable mobility.
Marco Kempin – formerly managing director at Beissbarth GmbH – recently announced his departure at his own request after 14 years. However, it is now clear where he gone. The team at our German sister publication Reifenpresse.de citing Kfz-Betrieb report that he has therefore taken over the management of Hunter Deutschland GmbH succeeding Martin Adams in this position who retired in the spring.
Continental Tyre Group has appointed Pete Robb as marketing director reporting directly to UK managing director David Smith, effective 1 September 2021.
