AlloyGator has launched a new wheel care kit, which it says will offer an extra income generation opportunity to complement AlloyGator fitting services. The kit has been developed alongside car care firm Angelwax. It is designed to remove baked on brake dust, dirt and road salt, while safely cleaning AlloyGator’s nylon wheel protectors.
The winner of the BBS design contest has been announced, with the first prize of €10,000 prize going to two brothers. The creative minds behind the ‘Spoked wheel of today’ design are Davide and Dario Dornauer, who respectively study product design at the Bauhaus University in Weimar, Germany and Automotive Engineering at the Cologne University of Technology. They were chosen from a total of 103 applications were received from 27 German universities and 20 design submissions.
AlloyGator has introduced gold and bronze designs colour variations to its wheel protection range. The distinctive new gold and bronze options mean there are now 15 colours available.

The company’s patented system prevents damage to wheels caused by scuffs from kerbs or potholes, and is available in a range of 13 colours, allowing fans to choose their club’s colours.

UK supercar hire and on road experience company, Performance Portfolio has fitted the alloy wheel protection system, AlloyGator, to its fleet of luxury cars. Safanad, the investment firm, has acquired a controlling interest in the UK’s largest alloy wheel manufacturer, Rimstock Plc. Rimstock, which recently celebrated its 30th year in manufacturing, employs over 230 people at its facilities in the West Midlands, England and produces both aftermarket and OE wheels. According to the companies, the business will remain headquartered in West Bromwich, United Kingdom.

Wheel manufacturer Uniwheels AG has named Thomas Buchholz its new chief executive officer. The chief automotive officer and management board deputy chairman succeeds company founder Ralf Schmid, who will become chairman of Uniwheels’ supervisory board.
