The Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship has announced a change to its qualifying format that it will deploy at every race weekend during the 2024 season and beyond. The BTCC’s ‘Quick Six’ qualifying will feature three short segments that aim to create further interest for fans trackside and the hundreds of thousands who watch every qualifying session and race live via ITV Sport.
The 2023 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship calendar was announced on 31 May, after series organisers TOCA confirmed its schedule earlier than ever before. After completing just three events of the 2022 campaign so far, the UK’s premier motorsport series has already locked down its dates for next year, with a return to the Donington Park GP circuit arguably producing the most significant headline.
Kwik Fit shares that the documentary series On the Limit, which lifted the lid on the British Touring Car Championship last year, will return for a second series in 2021.
When the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) returns for the 2019 season, it will have a new title sponsor. This contract will extend both the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship title sponsorship, which began in 2005, and the Official tyre supplier partnership, which began in 2003, into a third decade.
