Manitou telescopic handlers have become the latest products to be equipped with Vredestein agri segment tyres as original equipment. From April, they can be delivered to customers fitted with tyres from the Vredestein Endurion radial agro-industrial range.
Spalding-based RP Worth & Son, which farms close to 1,000 acres of wheat and potatoes, has unlocked a major improvement in tyre performance after acting on the recommendations of its local Michelin account manager. Trelleborg Wheel Systems has acquired Provana Solutions srl and Provana Quality Center srl. Provana Solutions specializes in the distribution and service of tyres and complete wheels to tractor dealers and farmers in Italy. Provana Quality Center provides testing of various tyre solutions to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of agricultural machinery. The acquisitions will enable the development of the business area’s service concept for agricultural tyres in Europe.
Cockburnspath-based R&C Crichton has become the first farmer in Scotland to specify Michelin’s new RoadBib tyres – designed to provide high performance, longevity and traction on machines used intensively on the road. Jamie Crichton specified the new tyres for his high-spec JCB Fastrac 4220 after hearing positive reports from Henzell Enterprises in Northumberland, one of the contractors involved in pre-launch testing for Michelin.
The regency of the Nokian Tractor King has reached a new dimension with the addition of eight new dimensions – these join the seven-size launch portfolio introduced last year. Following nearly two years of extensive end-user testing with agricultural contractors across Europe, Michelin has launched its new RoadBib tyres in the original equipment and replacement markets. With the RoadBib, Michelin has introduced the first fitment for 200+hp tractors to be specifically designed to provide high performance, longevity and traction on machines used intensively on the road.
On 22 February, Titan International Inc. closed the previously-announced transaction with an affiliate of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), one of the three shareholders of Voltyre-Prom. Under the terms of a definitive agreement entered into on 11 February, Titan paid RDIF US$25 million in cash and agreed, subject to the completion of regulatory approval, to issue RDIF 4,032,259 shares of restricted Titan common stock in a private placement. The agreement stipulates that RDIF must hold these shares for a period of three years from the date of the agreement.
It’d be hard to miss the new Agrimax Force size that BKT is premiering at SIMA – at 2.3 metres tall, the IF 750/75 R 46 tyre is the largest agricultural radial the company has ever produced.
The Ceat agricultural tyre range will expand this year to cover high power tractor tyres, harvester tyres and steel belted flotation tyres. News of these new product lines was shared at the SIMA show in Paris yesterday, where Ceat Specialty Tyres also presented its recently-launched Farmax R85 series, R65 series and R70 series agricultural radial range, Floatmax radial flotation tyres and Farmax RC row crop radials.
