Klarius Products Ltd has appointed Trevor Hudson as business development manager for Germany. Klarius increases UK manufacturing capacity
Recent investment has provided Klarius with increased manufacturing capacity for automotive OEM and aftermarket emission control products including exhausts, CATs and DPFs.

Autopromotec expanding internationalisation efforts
Autopromotec 2019’s organisers have announced the start-up of projects aimed at enhancing the international profile of the fair and at supporting the supply chain of automotive products and Made in Italy in the approach to foreign markets. Autopromotec 2017 posted record numbers in terms of total exhibitors (1,599, +4.5% compared to the 2015 edition) and industry professionals (113,616, +9% compared to 2015).
Automechanika Birmingham 2018 closes its doors until 2019
Automechanika Birmingham, the UK’s leading exhibition for the automotive aftermarket and vehicle production industry, has drawn to a close, with 10,200 automotive industry personnel visiting the highly successful 2018 event.
The event featured 500 exhibitors from 26 countries covering a floor space of 9400 square metres. More than 120 companies exhibited at Automechanika Birmingham for the first time including: AA Garage Guide, Snap-On, Ceramex, GSF Car Parts and Wurth Electronics.
Drivers to spend £45 million on air con services this summer
A new report predicts that drivers in the UK will spend over £45 million on air conditioning services this summer due to the impending heatwave. Based on internal garage and consumer data, the marketplace has predicted that there will be over 1 million air con units serviced in total in the months of June, July and August, having already seen a 2500 per cent increase in requests in May compared to April.

Bosal enters administration
Bosal Automotive And Industrial Components Limited, which traded as BAIC Ltd, officially entered administration on 5 June 2018. The business which was registered as operating in “the wholesale trade of motor vehicle parts and accessories” is perhaps best known for its exhausts business, the UK branch of which is based in Preston, Lancashire. Details were published in the London Gazette on 11 June.
