Randstad Ltd’s engine decarbonising service, TerraClean, has seen a substantial rise in customers visiting its network of national service centres following a period of increased national media advertising.
A new Falken Tyre television commercial campaign is being aired during Bundesliga football matches broadcast in Northern and Eastern Europe. The ads promote the Falken brand’s ‘Be On the Pulse of High Technology and Performance’ theme and range from seven to 20 seconds in length. They are screened by Eurosport before kick-off and a half-time during the German premier league games.
Nexen Tire is to launch its first European TV advertising campaign on Eurosport, Europe’s No.1 sports channel. The 30-second commercial will air across 54 European countries for 6 months, from December 2015 to May 2016 via Eurosport, which includes Eurosport 1, Eurosport 2, and Eurosport 2 NEE.
TerraClean has unveiled its latest television advert for its for advanced engine cleaning service, signalling the next stage of the brand’s promotion to a mass audience, with the aim of driving business into independent garages.
The brand is ever present at UK automotive trade and consumer exhibitions and is promoted aggressively through social media platforms, Facebook and Twitter. 2016 looks set to be TerraClean’s biggest year yet, with further investment in raising awareness with motorists and also recruiting new service centres where geographical gaps remain, as part of an extended trade campaign.

Off-road tyre specialist BKT reports that the new advertising campaign it launched at the SIMA agricultural show in Paris has “taken off with great momentum.” The campaign centres on the slogan “We Experience – being part of your field”; BKT says the slogan emphasises the “solid bond between the company and the end user.” This message is supported by graphic that highlight a tyre which is entirely immersed in its environment –symbolising the “total integration within the tyre’s field of application.”

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has just released its ruling on a complaint made by TMD Friction regarding comparison results featured on the stopsecret.org website run by Unipart Automotive. Six brands of brake pads were tested by the VCA MIRA test centre using mean fully developed deceleration tests, an industry-wide recognised test for effective braking performance. The same vehicle was used for each of the tests with a human driver and onboard measuring equipment. Details of the nature and results of the tests were downloadable from the website and indicated that the Unipart brake pads produced the best results. TMD claimed that the advert was misleading as they believed the test used for comparison was unreliable.
Korean-based tyre manufacturer Nexen has announced that it has won a contract to supply original equipment tyres (OE) for all new Chrysler 200 cars. According to the company, the new 200 model has been produced at Chrysler’s Starling Heights assembly plant in Michigan, USA since 2011.
Toyo Tire Europe says it will participate in Reifen 2014 with a radical new concept booth designed to showcase the company’s more focused, purposeful approach. The new booth takes the theme of an urban skatepark with a large half pipe dominating the design. The concept is intended to reflect the driven nature of skaters. The Essen show is the first outing for Toyo’s new exhibition presence, however the company says we can also expect to see the booth at consumer events during the coming year.

Always.’ campaign will run in trade, motorsport and consumer media throughout 2014, highlighting the benefits of using the manufacturer’s tyres through the people that use them for personal and professional transport.
Kumho Tire and North America’s National Basketball Association (NBA) have entered into a new multiyear marketing partnership that will make Kumho the official tyre of the NBA and NBA Development League (NBA D-League) in the US and South Korea. This is the first official tyre partnership for both leagues and is Kumho Tire’s first partnership with a US sports league.
