Naked Driver Highlights Need for Automatic Re-Inflation
Sometimes real life events can highlight the merits of new products and technology far better than any slick advertising campaign could ever hope to – as was discovered by a motorist in the US state of Louisiana, who perhaps now is rueing the fact that his vehicle didn’t come fitted with a tyre re-inflation system as standard.
Bryan Batulis Jr., aged 25, was arrested in the town of Gonzales after hitting a police officer during a traffic stop and then trying to run over two other officers during the ensuing chase. Batulis was finally apprehended after police shot the vehicle’s front right tyre, although he was able to continue for a further 6 miles before losing control and crashing into a ditch. When Batulis was pulled out of his vehicle it was discovered he had been driving stark naked, a scenario that has left police baffled and given local media much to talk about.
