The New Iveco Stralis XP heavy truck will fit the next generation of Michelin X LINE Energy tyres as original equipment. The new X LINE Energy range is the first tyre range to receive an A grade rolling resistance ratings in the drive, steer and trailer positions, according to the European Tyre Label measure. As a result, Iveco customers can opt for the market’s first heavy truck tyre range to earn an “A” rating for rolling resistance on every axle.

OBO Tyres has marked the fifth anniversary of its retreading brand, Ecotrac, with discounts available on sever Ecotrac models. The manufacturer says its Ecotrac rubber compound, for retreading earthmover, agricultural and transport tyres, was the result of “years of market research,” which have made it “strong, durable and safe”. OBO said it is “proud” of the results, adding that “service and customer satisfaction is of paramount importance.”

Yokohama to supply tyres to reconfigured Clarkson, Hammond & May Live tour

The Clarkson, Hammond & May Live tour will feature Yokohama as its Official Tyre Supplier. A renegotiated deal was struck to allow the motoring presenter trio to fulfil its live commitments despite Jeremy Clarkson’s infamous removal from the flagship BBC show. The result of the renegotiation was the removal of Top Gear branding and pre-existing material filmed alongside the presenters’ work on the TV show. The Japanese tyre manufacturer told Tyrepress that it has agreed to maintain its tyre supply deal for the three remaining weekends, with Yokohama branding and promotional materials to appear in and around the arenas in Belfast, Sheffield and London.

10 million Ecopia tyres sold in Asia Pacific – Bridgestone

More than 10 million original equipment and replacement market Ecopia tyres have been sold in the Asia Pacific region since the brand was first launched there in 2009, reports Bridgestone Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. As of 2014, Ecopia tyres accounted for more than 20 per cent of Bridgestone’s replacement market sales in Asia Pacific.
