ATS Euromaster and Kal Tire forge heavy-duty partnership

ATS Euromaster has entered into a strategic partnership with earthmover tyre specialist Kal Tire Mining Tire Group. RMA: WISH proposals will decimate UK retreading

The latest so-called “WISH” Proposals for the storage of waste tyres would decimate the important UK retreading industry if adopted in their current form. That’s the view of Patrick O’Connell, president of the Britain’s Retread Manufactures Association (RMA) and MD of Bandvulc Tyres one of Europe’s largest independent tyre retreading businesses, who stated: “This ‘WISH’ document has been developed without any consultation whatsoever with Britain’s retreaders.”

Kuwait home to first Apollo Zone

Apollo Tyres is reporting further inroads into the Kuwait market with the opening up of it first branded retail outlet in the country. The Apollo Zone is designed to provide customers with an enhanced retail experience and a better feel for the brand and products on display, including passenger car, 4×4 and light truck tyres. WheelRight joins LowCVP

Pirelli previews F1 return from mid-season break at Spa

The Drive DMACK Fiesta Trophy switches surfaces for the only all-asphalt round at Rallye Deutschland. Round four of the trophy is expected to be the source of some surprises, as the asphalt specialists in the field pick up their pace in the chase for a full season in the 2015 FIA WRC 2 Championship. Sander Pärn leads the championship having excelled on gravel to win all of the first three rounds, but tarmac drivers such as Frenchman Quentin Gilbert, Spaniard Yeray Lemes and Belgium’s Ghislain de Mevius now have a good opportunity to claw back his advantage, since Pärn has only contested four events on the surface.

Dunlop seeking Oschersleben repeat In 2014 EWC

Dunlop says it is optimistic for its teams’ chances in the third round of the FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC), and the manufacturer has good reason for this sunny outlook. In the 2013 meeting at Oschersleben Dunlop experienced success in both EWC and Superstock classes. The Suzuki Endurance Racing Team converted pole into victory, while the works Honda squad also showed great pace with a recovery from a fuel issue and R2CL set the second fastest lap of the race.
