Kumho Tire in its own words:
The Kumho Tire Company, headquartered in Seoul, was founded in 1960 and today has a turnover of over 2 billion US dollars and products over 60 million tyres annually worldwide. The company belongs to the Kumho Asiana Group, one of Korea’s largest and most prestigious companies which, for example, Asiana Airlines, a Star Alliance member belongs to. With over 10,000 employees worldwide the company develops, produces and sells mainly Kumho tyres for cars, vans and trucks. Kumho has manufacturing facilities in Korea, China and Vietnam. In addition, the company has research and development centers in Korea, China, Europe and North America. Worldwide Kumho be installed as original equipment, such as Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz or the Korean manufacturers Hyundai and Kia. Kumho Tire Europe GmbH with its headquarters in Offenbach am Main controls the marketing and sales activities in Germany and Europe. (July 2012)
