Tyres & Accessories Magazine September 2023
In this issue:
Truck tyres sustaining business
The truck tyre market may not offer the largest volume of tyres, but – as we all found out during the pandemic – we all rely on the goods transported on truck tyres and truck tyres are amongst the most dependable tyre segments from a business perspective. And right now, as sustainability narratives increasingly come to the fore, multiple levels of the truck tyre business have the opportunity to not only sell their benefits to existing customers but to win new business on the basis of the long-term thinking associated with quality first-life products, good husbandry and retreading. And that’s why the September edition of Tyres & Accessories takes a closer look at the latest product and market news in the commercial vehicle tyre sector.
Electric vehicle & eco tyres
The surge in new EV registrations has led tyre manufacturers to rethink their approach to the growing aftermarket sector. EV tyre development is evolving to cater to the needs of heavier, high-torque vehicles. Like drivers of traditional cars, EV drivers seek fuel-efficient, low noise tyres with enhanced safety features. One option is to include key EV sizes in mainstream tyre lines; however, some manufacturers are offering specialised solutions. For a more in-depth look at this market, refer to Tyres & Accessories in September.
