Tyres & Accessories Magazine April 2024
In this issue:
SUV tyres – quality versus quantity
SUV tyres have not only become a fixture in the wider car tyre market in recent years, they also remain a significant margin opportunity for manufacturers and distributors alike. However, while this section of the market has been a bastion of the premium tyre brands throughout most of that time, the latest research suggests the budget SUV market segment is growing largely at the expense of the mid-range. With that in mind, in our April 2024 edition, Tyres & Accessories takes a look at the latest SUV tyre news, trends and products.

OTR Tyres
Tyres & Accessories features the segment with the largest tyres in the April issue. The most important business sectors that use these tyres, such as mining and construction, are particularly sensitive to global economic trends. While there are considerable opportunities here, especially in emerging economies, but also in countries seeking to transform their economies with large infrastructure projects. Sustainability is also more prominent than ever in this sector, and tyre makers – especially those engaged with the original equipment manufacturers or machinery suppliers – are responding with increasingly green products, both in terms of in-use product features and characteristics, and in terms of manufacturing processes and raw materials.
