Vehicle repair prices rise by a third year-on-year
Data analysis from Intelligent Motoring, the parent company of MotorEasy, Motokiki and Warranty Assist, reveals the cost of vehicle repairs has risen on average by 33 per cent January-June 2022, compared to the same period in 2021.

Having joined the company in August 2021, Point S Tyre & Autocare has appointed Tony Valentine as fleet manager. Up till now, Valentine has been a business development manager for the network. From here on he takes responsibility for establishing and growing Point S’ presence in the fleet market. This will involve building close relationships with fleet managers and working closely with Point S members to develop “the network’s one-stop shop for fleet service, repair and maintenance”.

Wholesaler RH Claydon (RHC) opened its eighth depot on Monday. The facility in Carlisle’s Kingmoor Park North enterprise zone is now open for deliveries and collections between 8 am and 5:30 pm Monday and for collection 9 am to 12 pm Saturdays. RHC says the addition of the Carlisle depot will allow greater coverage of the north and border areas.

Milenco by Padgetts Honda rider Davey Todd recorded Supersport and the headline Race of Legends victories on Dunlop tyres at the Armoy Road Races in Northern Ireland. The British rider also set a new average speed record to round off a dominant event. Most Dunlop riders used the fully slick KR109 and KR106 front and KR108 rear tyres in the Race of Legends, while the treaded D213 Pro was used in other classes.
