ATS Euromaster and Kal Tire forge heavy-duty partnership
ATS Euromaster has entered into a strategic partnership with earthmover tyre specialist Kal Tire Mining Tire Group. The agreement will see ATS Euromaster working with Kal Tire to provide services to customers in the ports, mining and industrial sectors, with a heavy-duty tyre requirement, whilst Kal Tire will direct all car and van tyre enquiries to ATS Euromaster.

Crispin Turner, previously marketing communications manager at JCB, has joined Goodyear Dunlop UK & Ireland as commercial product marketing manager. Turner, who previously oversaw for the marketing of products in North, South and Central America at JCB, as well as looking after two products globally, joins Goodyear Dunlop to lead its marketing activities across the commercial vehicle business, reporting into UK and Ireland commercial director, Marc Preedy. Adam Stanton who was previously Commercial Product Marketing Manager is taking up a new post as Commercial Product Marketing Manager for EMEA. In this role he will focus specifically on Retread and OTR products reporting into Davide Califano, marketing manager EMEA.

They travelled through 28 different countries and set a new world record for visiting 25 EU Capital cities in just one trek. The 21-day expedition took them as far north as Helsinki, as far south as Athens, to Bucharest in the East and to Lisbon in the west. Harry Glover, 49, of 4/73 Special OP Battery and Pete Bray, 58, of 22 SAS, took on the gruelling trek called ‘Triumph over Tragedy’ to promote three charities close to their hearts. The charities involved are the Armed Forces supporters BLESMA and Soldiers off the Street, along with the Alder Hey Children’s Charity.

Brake, the road safety charity, is calling on the government to introduce compulsory regular eyesight testing for drivers, as a survey with Specsavers and RSA Insurance Group shows strong public support. Almost nine in 10 (87 per cent) are in favour of drivers having to prove they have had a recent sight test every 10 years, when they renew their licence or photo card. Research indicates this change in the law would significantly reduce the estimated 2,900 casualties caused by poor driver vision each year.
