Avon Tyres has extended its Cobra motorcycle tyre range, introducing four new sizes to suit the latest Harley-Davidson Big Twin model updates. The two new front fitments, 130/60 B19 and 130/60 B21, are suitable for the Street Glide and CVO Breakout models, among others. Yokohama selected as tyre partner for debut TCR UK touring car series
Yokohama announced that it has been selected as the official tyre supplier to the TCR UK series at the 2018 Autosport International show, which continues over this weekend. The manufacturer expects the new touring car series to attract a great deal of attention from both teams and fans, with plenty of action-packed wheel to wheel racing a hallmark of touring car series. Several TCR series run around the globe, and the top competitors in the seven-event UK series are expected to join a global event towards the end of the season. TCR UK commences at Silverstone circuit on 31 March.

40% of motorists drive on “dangerous” or “very dangerous” tyres
Almost 40 per cent of cars in the UK are running on at least one tyre that is “dangerously” or “very dangerously” underinflated. The figures come after Michelin and Kwik Fit inspected more than 500 vehicles in Tesco car parks around the UK. Michelin classifies tyres that are between 7psi and 14psi below the manufacturer’s recommendation as “dangerously underinflated”, while 14 psi or more underinflation is deemed to be “very dangerous.”
