Lubricants brand Rowe partners Britcar, including British Endurance Championship, with UK distributor
Oils and lubricants brand, Rowe, has extended its partnership with Britcar. The collaboration, aligned with Rowe’s extensive history and success in European endurance racing, will include support for The British Endurance Championship (BEC). MediaCo Imports (MCOIL), the importer and distributor of Rowe in the UK will sponsor ‘driver of the day’ for the two championships and competitors will be encouraged to use their sustainably manufactured range of products. MCOIL will also provide sustainable trophies for the poll teams across every round of each championship.

Oak Group Holdings, the parent company of Davanti Tyres and wholesaler Oak Tyres, will launch a second proprietary tyre brand at The Tire Cologne next week. Envoy Tyres is styled as a “new, value tyre brand” with a mission to “deliver exceptional value and quality,” and will reach the market with a range of four initial products in the last quarter of 2024. All four products will be available to preview at Koelnmesse (Hall 6.1, Stand E-038; 4-6 June). Oak Group will follow a similar strategy to the successful 2015 launch of Davanti in various markets around the world, and will start to seek key national distribution partners at Europe’s premier tyre expo next week.

The new site is situated alongside the company’s current headquarters in Liverpool, UK and features a 200,000 square foot warehouse, according to the company.

The percentage of company cars being fitted with 18 inch-plus tyres has increased by a third in three years, new data released by epyx shows. In the first quarter of 2021, 42 per cent of cars fitted with tyres through the business’s TyreServe service were 18 inches or over. This increased to 47 per cent in for the same period in 2022, 52 per cent in 2023 and 56 per cent in 2024.
