Lube Cube ‘saves more than 500 tonnes of plastic’
Fuchs Lubricants claims its cardboard packaging solution has saved 500 tonnes of plastic since its introduction in 2012 - equivalent of 10 million two litre plastic bottles, or 60 million plastic carrier bags. The Lube Cube allows customers to buy its leading products in a recyclable cardboard box rather than a plastic container.

Standard Motor Products Europe (SMPE) is continuing its development of the Lucas brand across UK and Europe with the introduction of distributor and technician training seminars. The first-ever Lucas training programme under SMPE was in Kiev, with Ukrainian business and Lucas distributor Alt-Star. This was followed by training with Autoaibe, a Temot member in Vilnius, Lithuania. Both Lucas distributors brought a mixture of online, wholesale and electrical specialists to the training and more than 30 people attended in total.

The website states that the new addition will enable both existing mechanics as well as new tyre specialists to register their services on the site. Bond will supply tyres to the site’s network at what ClickMechanic describes as “an extremely competitive trade price,” based on high volumes promised by the site.
