Yokohama OE on Mercedes-Benz GLC
Daimler AG has chosen the Yokohama Advan Sport V105 as an original equipment tyre on the Mercedes-Benz GLC. Models fitted with 18 and 19-inch wheels will be able to roll out of the factory on the Yokohama tyre, as two sizes – 235/60R18 103V and 235/55R19 101V – have been homologated. As is the case with all Yokohama tyres mounted as OE on Mercedes-Benz vehicles, the presence of the letters ‘MO’ on the Advan Sport V105’s sidewall indicate Daimler’s official approval of the tyre.

GT Radial has added the GTL919, a new trailer pattern available in 19.5 and 22.5-inch sizes, to its truck tyre portfolio. According to the company, the tyre has been developed for “maximum return-on-investment ownership, with a dedicated compound formula, extra deep optimised tread and wide shoulder ribs ensuring regular wear as well as reducing fuel consumption and increase mileage potential.” Additional upper sidewall protection provides enhanced resistance to cuts and tearing, especially from curbing damage.

Earlier in the year, Tyres & Accessories attended the launch of the latest tyre for specialist off-road brand, BFGoodrich. The All Terrain KO2 was described as “our best all-terrain tyre ever,” by BFGoodrich business segment manager Claire Fioretti at the “Landrauvergne” launch (Michelin’s pun referencing the Anglo-French nature of the event, and the tyre’s target Land Rover fitments), characterising the event as a “return to our core 4×4 segment in Europe.”
