Nexen unveils new all-season range
Nexen Tire intends to entirely renew its European market winter tyre portfolio over the coming two years, and it got this underway at Reifen 2016 today with the launch of a brand new all-season range. The new line-up was presented by Ralf Flachbarth, development engineer at Nexen Tire Europe; Flachbarth shared that the N’Blue 4 Season was targeted at the small to mid-size vehicle segments and will be available in 38 sizes for 13 to 17-inch rim diameters.

Kumho reports that it’s Ecsta PS91 is now only weeks away from UK availability. The PS91 is positioned as Kumho’s optimum high-performance road product, sitting above the ever-popular Ecsta Le Sport KU39. Squarely aimed at supercars and such ultra-quick passenger saloons as BMW M cars, Mercedes-Benz AMG models and Audi RS ones, the entire range will be Y-rated and offered in sizes from 18 to 20 inches in diameter. The focus is on maximum grip and braking performance in the dry, combined with outstanding feel. Nor – says the company – have any of these qualities been achieved at the expense of other key factors. It also has a 3D dimple design which cools the tyre at high speeds, optimising durability and wear rates.

Sailun recently invited a number of key customers from across the country to experience the performance of its tyres in track-day conditions. The event, run in association with well-known national wholesaler, Bond International was held at the Everyman Racing Driving Experience in Prestwold near Loughborough in Leicestershire. As well as being an excellent opportunity to demonstrate its products, the Sailun track day also presented the opportunity to take part in Bond International’s 50th Anniversary celebrations which are taking place this year.

Wheel manufacturer BBS will introduce a new alloy rim designed for the Porsche 991 GT3 at next week’s Reifen fair in Germany. The BBS CH-R is available as a 20-inch fitment and will be on display at the company’s show stand (Hall 2.0, Stand 2D20) along with other rims, including the FI-R and CH-R ‘Nürburgring Edition’, and the new BBS aluminium wheel display stand for dealers.

Federal’s range will include the Evoluzion ST-1, 595 RS-Pro, and Evoluzion F60 summer high and ultra-high performance tyres; the Himalaya Kattura for mild winter road conditions; the Ecovan ER02, which demonstrates durability for the commercial market; and the Glacier GC01 for winter conditions. The Taiwanese manufacturer will exhibit from stand 3C27 in Hall 3, between 24 and 27 May.
