Ceat introduces anti-puncture motorcycle tyres
A new range of anti-puncture motorcycle tyres from Ceat Ltd. has been introduced in India. The Hindu Business Line states that the manufacturer is rolling out these products in the south of India and will gradually introduce the range into other parts of the country. Sport Auto winter tyre test – another victory for Conti’s WinterContact
The words ‘WinterContact’ and ‘tyre test winner’ seem more or less interchangeable at the moment. Following victories at Auto Express, auto motor und sport and Auto Bild, the Continental winter tyre – this time the WinterContact TS 850 P – now makes an appearance at the top of the Sport Auto test table for a second consecutive year. The German magazine’s test of six tyres also featured one much cheaper product from Indonesia, and this tyre showed that the lowest price doesn’t necessarily equal the lowest performance.

Howard Tenens vouches for Bridgestone Ecopia’s real-life savings
Attitudes towards fuel saving tyres range from prepared and receptive fleets looking to save as much fuel as they can while bolstering their green credentials, all the way to cynical and even downright disinterested hauliers questioning the validity of fuel-saving claims. Such antipathy is often based on the mistaken belief the products don’t necessarily return the value for money required to justify the additional spending. That’s why the real-life experience of one Bridgestone customer (the privately owned logistics company Howard Tenens) is important. Howard Tenens has been using the manufacturer’s Ecopia tyres and reports that it has returned savings that are hard to ignore.
