Petlas adds super-single, bus tyre fitments to CV tyre range
Petlas Tire Corporation has added a new super-single size to its truck and bus radial (TBR) range. The Turkish tyre manufacturer upgraded the compounds of its NZ300 pattern at the end of 2023 in order to “increase mileage performance, setting a new standard in tyre efficiency”.

Pirelli and Lamborghini have jointly created bespoke 21-inch, 22-inch, and 23-inch P Zero tyres, as well as a 22-inch Scorpion Winter 2 tyre, for the new Urus SE, the first plug-in hybrid variant of Lamborghini’s SUV. The tyre maker says the “long and intensive combined development programme” that led to these tyres’ development included test driving at more than 185 mph at the Nardò circuit in Italy as well as -30° in the Arctic Circle.

This partnership extends to Ceat’s full range of original equipment fitments used by Royal Enfield and solidifies, says the wholesaler, Cambrian Tyres’ position as the “premier provider of high-quality two-wheel tyre brands to the trade.” Initial stocks will be available across various lines from Monday 29 April.

March’s new car registration figures from the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) have shown a decline following growth in the first two months of 2024. Across the EU, registrations declined by -5.2 per cent, this included major markets like Germany (-6.2 per cent), Spain (-4.7 per cent), Italy (-3.7 per cent), and France (-1.5 per cent). However, for Q1, car registrations increased by 4.4 per cent in the EU, with solid growth in Italy (+5.7 per cent), France (+5.7 per cent), Germany (+4.2 per cent), and Spain (+3.1 per cent).
