Sensing Core is a flexible, sensor-less analysis and monitoring system with many different applications, including tyre pressure and wear, uneven loads and hazardous road conditions.

Continental has broadened the ContiRoad sport touring tyre range with sizes bikes between 125cc and 300cc, and will introduce five new dimensions by the end of Q2 2024. The newcomers are 17-inch front tyres in sizes 100/80 and 110/70, and as 17-inch rear tyres in three sizes: 130/70 and 140 /70 and 150/60.

Ltd. is supplying its BluEarth-XT AE61 tyres as original equipment (OE) to Toyota Motor Corporation for use on the new Yaris Cross compact SUV , which was launched in Thailand in October 2023 and will be available in international markets, but not Japan. The Yaris Cross is being fitted with 215/60R17 96H and 215/55R18 95V size tyres.

As a crowning finale to its activities with this pocket rocket, the German performance car magazine fitted five brands of size 215/40R18 summer tyre to evaluate how each product influences the Hyundai’s performance and safety characteristics. For good measure, the test team also worked with an all-season tyre, but did not include it in the final results.

Ariel Motor Company, has selected Yokohama tyres as original equipment (OE) for two of its vehicles – the Ariel Atom and the Ariel Nomad. Effective immediately, the Atom will be available to customers fitted with Yokohama’s Advan Sport V105 tyre. From later in 2024, all Ariel Atoms will be fitted with Yokohama’s Advan Sport V105 as part of an exclusive one-make supply agreement.

Maxam Tire recently turned to TÜV SÜD for independent evaluation of how its EcoPoint³ compound influences heat resistance in forklift tyres. The standards and certification specialist examined the properties of seven tyres – Maxam products with and without EcoPoint³, as well as five tyres from competitors – at one of its facilities in Germany. It found that compared to standard compounds and competitor tyres, Maxam’s material handling tyre with EcoPoint³ exhibited significant improvements.
