Two Goodyear tyre models OE on new Audi A8
Deliveries of the fourth-generation Audi A8 are expected to begin in January, and Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 and UltraGrip Performance Gen-1 tyres have been approved as original equipment fitments for the new saloon. The Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 summer tyre will be available in sizes 255/45R19 104Y XL – in both standard and Ultra-Low Rolling Resistance versions – as well as size 265/40R20 104Y XL. The UltraGrip Performance Gen-1 winter tyre will be available in sizes 235/55R18 104H XL and 265/40R20 104V XL.

The 2018 Jeep Wrangler – unveiled Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show – will be fitted with two sizes of Goodyear’s Wrangler AT Adventure with Kevlar as original equipment. This latest approval continues an original equipment partnership that commenced in 1941 with Goodyear-produced tyres for the Willys Quad prototype. In addition to the Wrangler, Goodyear also currently supplies the Jeep Grand Cherokee with multiple tyre sizes.

From the beginning of 2018, Continental will be an official partner of the Tour de France. This means from 2018 onward, for an initial five-year period, all official support vehicles – cars, vans and motorcycles – at the Tour de France will be equipped with Continental tyres. The sponsorship agreement was officially confirmed by Christian Prudhomme, general director Tour de France, and Nikolai Setzer, Member of the Executive Board of Continental AG.
