The Dunlop Enasave EC300+ is being fitted to the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross as original equipment. Announcing the supply arrangement, Sumitomo Rubber Industries comments that the new compact SUV is being sold globally, however the tyre maker doesn’t specify whether its products will be fitted to Eclipse Cross models destined for all regions or only in specific markets. The new Mitsubishi will wear the Enasave EC300+ in size 215/70R16 100H.

The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders has announced a -4.4 per cent decline in British car manufacturing, as production for the home market fell by double figures. Exports declined in the month too, but only by -0.8 per cent, with 117,139 vehicles shipped overseas, accounting for more than 80 per cent of output.

LRO magazine pits General Grabber X3 against BFGoodrich MT KM2 in mud terrain tyre shootout
LRO magazine has conducted a test to demonstrate the performance of mud-terrain tyres, and the difference the make to driving in deep mud, rough areas and unpredictable slippery surfaces. The magazine fit the General Tire Grabber X3 and BFGoodrich’s MT KM2, two of the most prominent mud-terrain 4x4 tyres available in the UK, to a Land Rover Discovery 2 (245/75R16) at the Snugg’s Pit off-road proving ground in Suffolk, which features some of the UK’s toughest and muddiest conditions. The tyres were tested over 10 gruelling stages in the independent test, with the results verified by LRO’s experienced team.
