Bridgestone sponsors Apico 2-Stroke Festival
Bridgestone is ramping up its association in motocross after agreeing to become a main sponsor of the 2018 Apico 2-Stroke Festival. The event, which debuted on the motocross calendar for the first time last year, will feature three separate rounds in at different locations across the UK.

LeasePlan has released its annual Car Cost Index, with the latest analysis showing that electric vehicles (EVs) are now becoming cost competitive in several European countries, including the UK. The UK has been ranked as the fifth most cost-effective country in Europe to own an electric vehicle. According to the Index, the total monthly cost of owning an electric vehicle in the UK is £630 (€719), 14 per cent lower than the European average of £719 (€819).

Schrader calls the EZ-sensor 2.0 its “preferred system” and says that in terms of flexibility and future viability, programmable sensors like the EZ-sensor 2.0 are “clearly superior” to other universal sensors (configurable sensors or sensors with pre-programmed app codes) available on the market. The recently-released black aluminium valve version of the EZ-sensor 2.0 was also on display.

Apollo’s debut in Europe’s competitive TBR tyre segment was barely one year ago. The new distribution arrangement represents a change in strategy; the manufacturer had initially said the brand would be available directly from Apollo through an e-commerce system. Apollo Vredestein states the decision to partner with Treadsetters will aid in achieving the tyre manufacturer’s strategy of rapid TBR growth by combining its product range with a highly efficient and experienced distribution partner in the UK.
