Yokohama tyres supplied to Mercedes-AMG E-Class 53-Series
Mercedes-AMG has selected the Yokohama Advan Sport V105 tyre as original equipment for its new E 53 4MATIC+ (ISG installed) series. Yokohama began supplying its global flagship tyre in June 2018 in two size sets: in 19-inch, the tyre manufacturer is supplying 245/40ZR19 98Y (front) and 275/35ZR19 100Y (rear) sizes, and for 20-inch rims it is supplying 245/35ZR20 95Y (front) and 275/30ZR20 97Y (rear).

Hinckford Farming has praised Michelin’s “excellent support” after replacing a rubber tracked crawler with a Claas Xerion 5000 fitted with a set of the manufacturer’s Ultraflex high volume AxioBib tyres. The arable farm had been using tracks for many years for its heavy cultivations but had recently struggled with grip in wet conditions, and suffered damage to the soil structure on headlands when turning.

Audi has selected Bridgestone as its tyre supplier for the release of its first all-electric SUV, the Audi e-tron. The companies agreed a list of characteristics required to highlight the specifications of the new model. The e-tron boasts fast acceleration, high comfort, very low noise, and high levels of safety without dropping performance. Bridgestone will supply six different tyres sized between 19 and 21 inches, four summer and two winter tyres, as original equipment. The manufacturer has emphasised the original equipment channel recently, achieving more than 120 OE fitments in EMEA during 2018, a result it labelled its best ever.
