Updated Yokohama OE tyres for BMW X3 & X4
The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., announced today that it has been supplying its Advan Sport V107 to the BMW Group for use as original equipment on BMW X3 and X4 models since July 2019. The cars are being equipped with 225/60R18 104W size tyres on markets outside Japan. The Advan Sport V107 replaces the Advan Sport V105 tyres that had been an OE fitment on the two globally marketed BMW models since 2018.

Nankang Tyre has launched two tyre games for Android and iOS mobile devices: Tyre Maker and Tyre Run. Both are available free to download worldwide on Android and iOS. The Taiwan tyre manufacturer says part of the purpose of the apps is “to relieve the boredom of being stuck at home due to COVID-19.” The games were developed in collaboration with digital design company King One Design. UK motorcycling magazine RiDE has looked at six brands of sports touring tyres and declared the Metzeler Roadtec 01 SE its top pick. In its evaluation of size 120/70-17 and 180/55-17 rubber, tested on a BMW R1250RS, RiDE awarded the Metzeler tyres a score of 91 points out of a possible maximum of 100 and recommended the Roadtec 01 SE as its “best purchase”.
