It has launched the Goodyear ElectricDrive GT in size 255/45R19 104W XL and intends to expand the line-up in 2022.

The newcomers are NRO (Narrow Rim Option) dimensions designed for the next generation of self-propelled agricultural sprayers, VF 650/65R38 and VF 750/60R46. Mitas says both are made to handle high load capacities and operating speeds.

Continental has introduced its latest all-season van tyre. The new VanContact A/S Ultra is available from December 2021 in four dimensions for 16-inch rim diameters and is aimed at vans frequently used for delivery services and trade businesses, such as Mercedes Sprinter, VW Crafter and Fiat Ducato, as well as smaller vans like the Mercedes V-Class and VW T6. Continental will significantly expand the range in 2022 with sizes for 15-, 16- and 17-inch diameters.

The latest iteration of the Goodyear Eagle F1 ultra-high-performance tyre range will arrive early next year. Goodyear will initially launch the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 in 28 sizes during the first quarter of 2022, including a number of popular 17- and 18-inch fitments, and then release additional dimensions throughout the year. By 2023, Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 will be available in no fewer than 65 sizes for 17- to 22-inch rim diameters.

Astutus Research says that the shortage of semi-conductors and other vital components will lead to $2 billion (around £1.5 billion) in lost original equipment tyre revenues in 2021. The analyst notes that demand for new cars is not a factor in the slump in OE stream sales versus expectations, and that a rebound is expected in the coming years when component supply has returned. Astutus Research is currently offering a new report series via Tyrepress, presenting tyre industry forecasts in the wake of Covid-19, which takes into account such dynamics. The series, entitled ‘Beyond Covid-19’ offers market leading data on global original equipment and replacement passenger car and light truck tyre segments. Pirelli will introduce a new tyre for GT racing next year, the P Zero DHF, and for the first time the one tyre will equip all the main classes in this competition. The DHF will take over from the DHE that debuted in GT3 at the start of last year as well as the DHB used in GT4 and will additionally be used for the GT2 class.

M&N Transport is a Wiltshire-based bulk transport firm. The company runs its growing commercial vehicle fleet of 35 trucks and 40 trailers exclusively on Michelin, having found the tyres to last significantly longer than any other truck tyre in the market. M&N is also utilising Michelin’s Effitrailer telematics package across its fleet of trailers and the company has experienced reduced downtime and cut its fuel costs since making the switch to Michelin, improving the sustainability of its operation in the process.

Since 2014, all new motorcycles have been delivered with oil from Liqui Moly.
