Chinese tyre exports grew at double-digit rate in 2023
Chinese Customs tyre export data for December 2023 shows that the number of tyre exports in December increased by 610,000 units from last month, basically maintaining the same level as in November. However, the export value and export weight in December decreased by 300,000 yuan and 30,000 tons compared with the previous month. In other words, the increase in the number of lighter-weight tyres has not led to an increase in export value.

At a meeting on 6 February, the local council of Perl in Germanys Saarland region overwhelmingly approved the project. Pyrum has taken initial steps by ordering the first components for the plant and has recently established a subsidiary dedicated to its operation, Pyrum GreenFactory II GmbH.

Both Volvo in Ghent, Belgium, and Tesla in Berlin, Germany, have halted production temporarily as a result. As a result, fleets – especially those with ageing vehicles – ought to invest more in strategic and preventative maintenance, according to ATS Euromaster.

This clearance comes after Enviro, Antin Infrastructure Partners, and Michelin reached a final decision on the project’s investment on 7 February. Having secured all essential environmental and construction approvals, Enviro anticipates commencing construction in the first quarter of 2024.

Government agency Louisiana Economic Development shares that L4T Group will set up shop at the Port of South Louisiana, investing US$46 million to build a plant on a 10-acre (4-hectare) site.
