Protyre Autocare has partnered with Delphi since 2018, leveraging the Delphi Academy e-learning platform that offers over 300 interactive modules to enhance the learning experience through technical articles, videos, and simulations. It credits the partnership with driving a significant diversification in the Protyre service portfolio – since collaborating with Delphi, general servicing and repair work have risen from 15% to 40% of Protyre’s operations. The tyre retailer now intends to support its growth plans by offering “well over” 1,000 bespoke Delphi training sessions this year.

For their 2024 summer tyre test, European motoring organisations ADAC, ÖAMTC and TCS have shined the spotlight on 215/55 R17, a dimension suitable for mid-size cars and smaller SUVs. The test team put 16 brands of tyre through their paces and was satisfied with overall results, even though some tyres showed “minor weaknesses”.

Autogem reveals most compact, lightweight Gemini TPMS sensors
Autogem has introduced its most compact and lightweight TPMS sensor. Named Gemini “after the star sign which can talk to anyone,” according to Autogem, the Gemini can, appropriately, communicate with virtually all vehicle manufacturers, presenting a single solution for aftermarket replacement sensors. Smaller and lighter than Autogem’s previous sensors, the Gemini has a new single-sensor body and come pre-mounted with interchangeable valve stems.

All three Team De Rooy trucks completed all the stages of the challenging course, assisted by the Goodyear Offroad tyres’ traction and durability on challenging terrains. The integration of Goodyear TPMS played an important role in monitoring tyre pressure and temperature in real time, allowing the team to make dynamic adjustments and respond swiftly to evolving road conditions.
