Hunter Engineering integrates Skaivision AI into Quick Check Drive
US-based automotive service equipment firm Hunter Engineering is partnering with AI computer vision specialist Skaivision to integrate AI technology into Hunter’s Quick Check Drive inspection equipment. By using Skaivision technology, the Quick Check Drive unit’s cameras will gain the ability to identify number plates as vehicles enter the service lane. The plate number is then automatically matched to customer records, starting the clock to track service cycle times accurately.

“Highest revenue” – Ceat announces Q2 FY24-24 financial results
Indian tyre maker Ceat Limited has announced its unaudited results for the second quarter of its 2024-25 financial year, which ended on 30 September 2024. On a consolidated basis, the Company’s revenue closed at Rs 33.30 billion (£304.78 million), EBITDA margin stood at 11.1 per cent, a contraction of 102 bps vs Q1 FY24-25. Net profit stood at Rs 1.21 billion (£11.19 million).

ETRMA – Europe should prioritise access to in-vehicle data legislation
Last week, the Coalition of Independent Service Providers (ISP) wrote to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, urging her to prioritise the already-prepared proposal for a legislation on access to in-vehicle data as part of her first 100-day plan.
