Cooper Tire Europe announces title sponsorship of World RX of Hockenheim
Cooper Tire Europe has extended its support of the World Rallycross Championship. In addition to being the official tyre supplier and associate partner of the FIA series for the fourth consecutive year, Cooper has become the title sponsor of the 2017 World RX of Hockenheim. Cooper has supported World RX since its inception in 2014, and supplies eight dry and eight wet tyres per Supercar driver at each of the 12 rounds. Cooper also became the presenting sponsor and tyre supplier to the second tier RX2 International series - previously RX Lites - for this season earlier in the year.

Dunlop WEC teams conduct pre-season tests at Monza
The Italian Autodromo Nazionale Monza hosted the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) pre-season test, the first opportunity for fans to see all the 2017 competitors and for teams to gather data before the season begins in two weeks’ time. In around 14 hours of track time, teams worked on set-ups to optimise their new tyre and car combinations; the 14 cars covered 2268 laps – a total of 13138 km. Wet weather on Saturday evening and a damp track on Sunday gave teams opportunities to work with the intermediate and full-wet tyre options.

Toyo Proxes R888R becomes new BMW Z Cars series control tyre
Toyo Tires has been announced as the tyre supply partner to the new Z Cars Racing Series in 2017. The manufacturer will supply the Proxes R888R tyre, already present in a variety of British club motorsport series, to the busy grid of BMW Z3 and Z4 cars. Gary Feakins Racing (GFR) has partnered with MotorSport Vision Racing (MSVR) to create what they hope will be an accessible, yet aspirational series. Dunlop Moto2, Moto3 battles set to intensify in Argentina, America and Spain
Dunlop continues its support as tyre supplier for the 2017 FIM Moto2 and Moto3 World Championships on their tour of the Americas, with round two at the Autodromo Termas Rio de Hondo, Argentina on 9 April and the Circuit of the Americas, Texas on 23 April. Two weeks later the Dunlop-shod machines embark on their first race appearance of the year in Europe, at Jerez, Spain on 7 May. The tyre supplier will continue to record overtakes for its 2017 #ForeverForward award.

Dmack to bring new hard compound to first all-asphalt WRC round, Junior WRC
Dmack will roll out its final new tyre for the World Rally Championship season at next week’s Tour de Corse, the first all-asphalt round of the 2017 series. The hard compound H6+ version of its Dmack Grippa DMT-RC22 will be supplied to drivers competing in WRC and WRC 2. The event will also host the first round of the FIA Junior World Rally Championship, for which Dmack is official partner and tyre supplier.

2 Porsche WEC teams switch to Dunlop tyres
FIA World Endurance Championship Porsche teams Dempsey-Proton and Gulf Racing will run on Dunlop tyres in their global campaigns following comparative testing. Both teams have experience of working with Dunlop in the European Le Mans Series (ELMS), where the brand is the sole tyre supplier to the LMGTE class. Both teams will race in the LMGTE AM class of WEC, including the Le Mans 24 hour race.

Pirelli launches 2017 P Zero tyre for Blancpain GT Series
Pirelli is sole tyre supplier for the 2017 Blancpain GT Series, which commences at Misano, Italy this weekend. The manufacturer has developed its tyre range for the series, including a new P Zero DHD for GT3, the P Zero DH for GT4, and the WH for wet conditions; the latter tyre could see early use as rain is forecast for Sunday in Misano. Pirelli will bring 2,000 P Zero DHDs and 629 P Zero DHs to Misano for a provisional grid of 34 GT3 cars, plus 24 extra cars in GT4 and the GT sports club. The series includes many of the premium and prestige marques for which Pirelli also provides original equipment on the road. In total, eight different models will be represented from seven different automotive brands.

Pirelli enters its tenth season at Donington Park supporting the MCE British Superbike Championship as both presenting sponsor and sole tyre supplier with newly developed rubber to increase the pace. Shane Byrne starts as title favourite, targeting a sixth series crown, but he will be forced to fight for every race by rivals Leon Haslam, 2015 BSB Champ Josh Brookes and ex-World Superbike Champion Sylvain Guintoli.
