The all-time track and race lap records for the Moto2 and Moto3 championships were substantially improved at Catalunya, continuing a streak of broken records broken on Pirelli tyres. The Diablo Superbike slicks helped riders reduce lap times on the Montmelò track.

Pirelli says the turquoise cap is inspired by the waters that border the city’s beaches, featuring a stylised palm tree and the stars and stripes of the United States flag.

Pirelli will supply the same selection of compounds for all three grands prix of Emilia-Romagna, Monaco and Canada: the C3 as P Zero White hard, C4 as P Zero Yellow medium and C5 as P Zero Red soft. While these nominations are identical to the 2023 season – the compounds themselves have remained the same – the three softest compounds were never put to the test in Imola last year, since the event was cancelled at the last minute due to flooding.
