Yokohama supporting US race series, returning to Nürburgring with HRT
Yokohama Rubber has announced international motorsport arrangements that will see it supply Yokohama Advan tyres to a US racing series as well as a team contesting the 2025 Nürburgring 24-Hour Race. These deals involve both Ford Performance and the Haupt Racing Team.

Goodyear takes the Blimp racing with centenary tyre design
With the debut of a tyre featuring a blimp-motif sidewall, Goodyear has finally brought together the two gas-filled objects it is best known for. This striking design adorns the race tyres that Goodyear will supply for upcoming events and commemorates the centenary of the company’s first branded blimp, Pilgrim. The 100th anniversary blimp tyres will debut in April at South Carolina’s Darlington Raceway, home of the Goodyear 400 NASCAR race.

Milltek extends sponsorship of Civic Cup for sixth consecutive season
Exhaust manufacturer Milltek signed up for a sixth successive season as title sponsor of the Civic Cup. As a result, the championship will now be known as the Milltek Civic Cup.

Pirelli & McLaren continue 2026 F1 tyre development
Pirelli’s second test session of 2025 got underway yesterday at the Barcelona-Catalunya circuit, the track located near the Spanish town of Granollers. Having already taken part in the two-day session at Paul Ricard, McLaren F1 Racing was again working with Pirelli on 2026 tyre development, joined this time by Scuderia Ferrari HP.

WRC organiser, teams praise Hankook’s debut
The organiser of the FIA World Rally Championship has shared the “widespread praise” the series’ new exclusive tyre supplier has gained following its “impressive debut” at Rallye Monte-Carlo. WRC Promoter GmbH reports that in spite of the event being known for its “unpredictable stage conditions, ranging from dry to ice-patched asphalt,” Hankook “rose to the occasion” by delivering a range of newly developed tyres that “impressed drivers and teams across the service park.”

Imai to head new Bridgestone Motorsports Organization
From 1 March 2025, Bridgestone Corporation will introduce a new motorsports management structure in the form of a dedicated Motorsports Organization. Reporting to Bridgestone’s Global Chief Technology Officer, it will be responsible for developing motorsport tyres and for the technology that goes into this development. Bridgestone has appointed Hiroshi Imai as Head of the Motorsports Organization.

Busy season start for our engineers – Pirelli concludes wet tyre testing
Concluding the first 2025 test session for its next generation of rain tyres at Circuit Paul Ricard in France, Pirelli comments that it has acquired reams of data essential to its further development work. The focus of this joint testing with the McLaren F1 Team was the wet and intermediate tyres for the 2026 season, when the regulations will stipulate the same 18-inch rim diameter as the current ones, but with a slightly smaller width and external diameter on both the front and rear axles.

Dunlop exclusive tyre supplier to EWC Production World Trophy
The collaboration between Dunlop and the FIM Endurance World Championship that began in 2016 will expand this year with a multi-year partnership renewal that includes Dunlop becoming exclusive tyre supplier to the new FIM Production World Trophy class as well as continuing with the Dunlop Superstock Trophy. As a result, Dunlop will provide its tyres, expertise and support to the half of all teams in EWC’s three classes, as well as continuing to work with teams fighting for the overall victory in the Formula EWC category, which remains open tyre competition.

Prometeon praises Macík for Dakar Rally Truck win
Prometeon Tyre Group has congratulated Martin Macík Jr for his victory in the Truck category of the 47th Dakar Rally, the Czech driver’s second consecutive win. Macík’s MM Technology Team truck, shod with Prometeon S02 Rally tyres, secured ten stage victories out of 12 across the 4,785 miles of the 2025 Dakar Rally route, finishing the event 2 hours and 21 minutes ahead of the second-placed team.

Rallye Monte Carlo green flag marks start of Hankook WRC tyre supply
Today the rubber hits the road, and snow, for Hankook. More than a year after being named exclusive tyre supplier to the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) from 2025, Hankook-shod cars have got underway in the Rallye Monte Carlo. Leaving Casino Square at 2:30pm local time, over the coming three days, competitors will cover some 214 miles across 18 special stages in Monaco and France before returning to Casino Square on 26 January.

Hankook will exclusively supply rallying tyres for all three classes, WRC1, WRC2 and WRC3, for three years, beginning with the 2025 season of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC).
