Giti collaborates with global racing equipment supplier Sparco in joint-branding agreement
Giti Tire has signed a multi-year global co-branding agreement with Sparco, one the world’s leading manufacturers of motorsport safety systems and racing equipment. The Giti brand becomes global automotive tyre partner of the Italian brand under the deal, while the slogan “Giti – Powered by Sparco” will appear on the sidewall of key UHP sizes from 2024. The development of these products will form a bridge between the businesses, according to Sparco.

On 20 March the FIA published an invitation to participate in the next tender process for tyre supply to the F1, F2 & F3 championships from 2025 to 2027, with an option for 2028. Confirming its interest in participating in the tyre tender process, Pirelli observes that the tender document “outlines technical characteristics that are broadly in line” with the Pirelli-supplied tyres currently used in these championships.

The tyre manufacturer has signed a multi-year support agreement for the Bridgestone FIA ecoRally Cup, which aims to address major environmental concerns and foster positive behaviour amongst competitors. The competition was created in 2006. It sees production, road-legal electric vehicles running without modification in regularity events.

German motor oil manufacturer Liqui Moly has signed a one-year contract with the Formula 1 racing series. This means that the company will be sponsoring the series for the fifth consecutive year. The new contract, means Liqui Moly will be an “Official Partner” of Formula 1 for the 2023 season, with trackside signage, both physical and virtual, bearing the brand name on display worldwide at 18 of 23 races this year. “Formula 1 is the pinnacle of motorsport in terms of international character and publicity”, says Günter Hiermaier, managing director of Liqui Moly.
