Asahi Kasei invests in Circularise as part of 11-million-euro fundraising
Asahi Kasei has invested in Circularise B.V., a start-up company based in the Netherlands that provides digital product passports and mass balance bookkeeping software. Asahi Kasei made the investment valued at a total of 11 million euros together with Brightlands Venture Partners, 4impact capital and Neste in November 2022.

Following earlier reports on 25 November 2022, Avayler, Halfords’ B2B software arm has confirmed that ATU has selected the Avayler mobile solution to support its new mobile servicing and tyre fitting division. Avayler Mobile will initially be rolled out in Munich as part of ATU’s Mobile Workshop pilot project, with further plans for expansion throughout Germany.

On November 29, Toyo Tires issued a notice on its official Chinese website saying it will resume using the old Chinese brand name in the mainland market from 1 December. Both the old and new brand names are the Chinese translation of “Toyo Tires”. Toyo previously used this brand name in the Chinese market before 2015, subsequently changing its name to use the Chinese pronunciation of Toyo Tires to determine the new version of the brand and the company name.

Tatneft has signed an agreement with JSC Uzkimyosanoat to purchase Uzbekistan tyre manufacturer Birinchi Rezinotexnika Zavodi (BRZ) LLC. According to the Interfax news agency, Tatneft will hold 100 per cent of the enterprises shares following the deal.

By August Russian news sources were reporting that Nokian was accepting “binding offers” for its Russian tyre plant up until the end of September. At the end of October, Nokian confirmed that it had agreed terms with Tatneft to sell its Russian tyre operations for roughly 400 million euros. More than a month later, Nokian Tyres spokespeople are speaking of “substantial uncertainties” relating to the Tatneft deal.

On Friday 25 November 25, 2022 B-Quik hit a benchmark number of tyre retail centres, with the opening and open store #200 in Thailand. According to the company, the latest opening will be followed by stores 201, 202 and 203 in the next week. To the pace of growth into perspective, at the start of the pandemic, B-Quik had 148 stores in Thailand. Moving forward, the expansion plans look set to continue with company representatives said: “we are ready for the next growth spurt”.
