Linglong lays foundation stone for fourth Chinese tyre factory
Shandong Linglong Tire Co. Ltd. has laid the foundation stone for its fourth Chinese factory. The event, held 6 July ran in parallel with Linglong Tires global partners conference. The new plant is in addition to Linglong’s existing Zhaoyuan, Dezhou and Liuzhou factories. Linglong is building the fourth plant at a 223-acre site in the city of Jingmen in Hubei province.

On 29 June 2018, Trelleborg inaugurated its new European logistics hub for material handling and construction tires and its new Benelux commercial office in Evergem, Belgium. The new premises consist of a 10,000 square metre warehouse along with offices to house the Benelux commercial office for Trelleborg Wheels Systems. Holding more than 70,000 tyres in stock, Trelleborg Wheel Systems can serve its European warehouses and key customers in the region from this facility on a JIT basis.

In a letter to BSE, Ceat Ltd. has confirmed entering into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the government of India’s Tamil Nadu state. The tyre maker told the stock exchange that the MoU for setting up a new greenfield facility covers an estimated investment of Rs 40 billion (£437 million) over a period of ten years. It adds that passenger car radials, commercial vehicle radials and two-wheeler tyres will be produced in the plant.
