India JV about to start making Mitas two-wheeler tyres
Despite delays during the pandemic, the joint venture plant set up in India by Yogesh Agencies & Investments Private Limited (YAIPL) and Trelleborg Wheel Systems (TWS) is now gearing up for deliveries of Mitas two-wheeler tyres. Paolo Pompei, president of TWS, recently confirmed that production will soon start.

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company has won a FEDIL Environment Prize. The Luxembourgish multisectoral business federation awarded Goodyear in the ‘Process’ category for its traction resin, which the tyre maker developed at its Innovation Center in Colmar-Berg and uses in the manufacture of ultra-high-performance tyres.

In response to tougher local Covid measures and the ever-present risk of travel restrictions, the organiser of Agritechnica has confirmed the show’s postponement. The event scheduled to take place between 27 February and 5 March will no longer take place, and the German Agricultural Society (DLG) now plans to hold the next Agritechnica between 12 and 18 November 2023.

The two companies have signed a collaboration agreement and letter of intent covering the development and potential use of such products, which are made through a plasma-based methane pyrolysis process.

Prinx Chengshan attributes these half-dozen consecutive accolades to its focus on sustainability in recent years, including energy and materials conservation as well as efforts to promote a circular economy.

The Marangoni Group has return to the specialist tyre retail business – a sector it excited roughly three years ago. As reported by our Italian sister company PneusNews.it, the group best known for its extensive retreading heritage, recently took over the company La Genovese gomme (LGg). The tyre retail chain runs five locations in Sardinia (specifically Sassari, Oristano, Olbia, Macomer and Elmas) and together with the production of retreaded tyres to support them. LGg also makes retreads at its Elmas locations “using the best possible materials”.

A first for Rosava – the Ukrainian tyre maker reports having shipped more than a million tyres to European markets within the space of a year. During the first ten months of 2021 it sold more than a million Remiorri and Rosava passenger vehicle tyres, 150 per cent more than during the same period of 2020. The tyre maker also added two European countries – Cyprus and Portugal – to its supply map this year.
