Heuver installs additional solar panels to ensure continued energy neutrality
Back at the start of 2018, Netherlands-based tyre wholesaler Heuver achieved energy neutrality through the installation of 1,632 solar panels on the roof of its warehouse in Hardenberg. But Heuver aims to maintain its energy-neutral status even as it grows, and has therefore added a further 1,518 solar panels at the Hardenberg site. Heuver contracted Mijn Energiefabriek, which supplied the original panels two and a half years ago, to install the panels.

The long-term agreement sees Goodyear and ZF bring together ZF’s Transics-branded, Fleet Management Solutions (FMS) and Goodyear’s tyre portfolio and mobility solutions. According to the companies, the goal is that “ZF and Goodyear will leverage real-time data generated from all makes of Trailer Braking Systems (T-EBS) and tyre sensors…”.

The Marangoni Group made money again last year despite significantly declining sales. With key figures improving, questions of the future relationship between the Italian firm and global retreading supplier Vipal Rubber reappears. The Brazilian company acquired a majority share in Marangoni Tread North America via a joint venture in 2019 and is reportedly about to take over the Marangoni activities in Latin America, which are currently being restructured. It would very much like to take over the entire company. Vittorio Marangoni, president of the Marangoni Group, confirmed that negotiations were ongoing between the firms three years ago to Tyres & Accessories. These could now also end positively in the interests of Vipal Rubber as part of a capital increase, according to company sources.
