Olaf Schick takes on CFO remit at Continental
At its meeting on 27 June, the Supervisory Board of Continental AG appointed Olaf Schick as the companys new chief financial officer. Schick begins in this role today and will oversee Group Finance and Controlling, while maintaining responsibility for Group Law and Intellectual Property, Group Compliance, Group Internal Audit, Group Quality Management, and Group Risks and Controls. A further change sees chief executive officer Nikolai Setzer take charge of Group Information Technology.

Kraiburg TPE opens UK office
Kraiburg TPE has opened a UK subsidiary. The thermoplastic elastomers company says this strategic move shows its commitment to “serving the important UK market directly,” from which it will enhance service to local customers. Kraiburg TPE cites the UK as a long-term “pivotal market”. It is opening a subsidiary because “evolving dynamics presented challenges in maintaining optimal service standards since 2020.” The new company will collaborate with its longstanding partner, Abbey Polymers. In January 2024, Kraiburg TPE UK initiated its business and warehousing operations, including a dedicated sales office in Stafford and a strategically located warehouse in Stoke-on-Trent.
