In answer to the question, NTDA chief executive Stefan Hay suggested “those technicians who hold a REACT, LCTT or LRTT licence may wish to present the cards as evidence of their profession. Naturally, schools can confirm the validity of the licence by contacting the NTDA’s Head Office.”

The organisation representing India’s tyre makers has a new chairman, with KM Mammen being appointed to the role. Mammen, who is chairman and managing director of MRF Ltd., is joined in the Automotive Tyre Manufacturers Association’s (ATMA) leadership team by Anshuman Singhania as vice chairman. Singhania is a director at JK Tyre & Industries Ltd.

Some 750 jobs will be lost due to restructuring at the Apollo Vredestein tyre plant in Enschede, the Netherlands over the next couple of years, and Dutch politicians want to know if the European Union has contributed in any way to the chain of events that will lead to some of Enschede’s tyre production relocating to Hungary. MEPs from Dutch political party the CDA (Christian Democratic Appeal) have asked the European Commission to clarify certain points.
