Hankook UK appoints Cottrell to TBR tyre sales manager
Hankook Tyre UK has appointed Jon Cottrell as UK commercial sales manager. He follows on from Paul Emery who was promoted to UK sales director earlier in 2020. Cottrell has a career spanning more than twenty years in the tyre industry, including spells with Bridgestone, Goodyear Dunlop, Mitas, and most recently Apollo Vredestein. Hankook says he will be responsible for the strategic leadership of the commercial sales department within Hankook Tyre UK. This includes the expansion of both the Laufenn and Alphatread ranges, contributing to the overall growth strategy.

Michelin: Barbara Dalibard to succeed Michel Rollier
Michel Rollier, chairman of Michelin’s Supervisory Board, has announced he will step down from this role at the end of next year’s Ordinary Shareholders Meeting. His current tenure as Supervisory Board member also expires on that date, and Rollier will not seek re-election. Rollier shares that the Supervisory Board has unanimously decided to appoint Barbara Dalibard as its next chair, effective from the close of the 2021 Ordinary Shareholders Meeting.

Sumitomo Rubber South Africa (Pty) Ltd (SRSA), manufacturer of the Dunlop, Sumitomo and Falken tyre brands for the African continent, has announced the appointment of Lubin Ozoux as its new CEO and Executive Director of SRSA effective 1 January 2021. Ozoux will take over the role from outgoing CEO, Riaz Haffejee who has led the company for the past eight years. Haffejee will remain with the company until the 31 January 2021 to “ensure a smooth transition”.

Michelin has reorganised its sales team in Austria and appointed Roland Steinberger managing director of its business in that market. Steinberger began in the role on 1 November, continuing a tyre industry career spanning more than two decades, including eight years at Michelin. His previous role with the tyre maker was sales manager for its car tyre business within Austria.
