Yokohama HPT: a new chapter
Recent months have seen the appointment of a completely new leadership team at Yokohama’s UK distribution operation, Yokohama HPT Ltd. Well-known in the market for its high-performance passenger car tyre and wheel sales, the appointments signal the start of a new chapter. With that in mind, Tyres & Accessories visited the company’s Milton Keynes headquarters and distribution centre in order to meet with recently-appointed CEO Peter Fairlie; commercial director, Karl Naylor; and marketing manager, Lucie Dalton, in order to find out more.

The organisation sets out to achieve a better gender balance within the automotive industry. Debbie Barnes has been promoted to managing director of Liqui Moly’s UK subsidiary, responsible for national operations. She intends to continue the successful development of the lubricant company in the United Kingdom. Barnes has been part of the Liqui Moly team for seven years and was most recently regional sales manager and national key account manager at Liqui Moly UK. In her new position as managing director, she is now responsible for the operational business of the Liqui Moly subsidiary. She strengthens the management team, which has included Dr Uli Weller, managing director of the parent company, and Salvatore Coniglio, Liqui Moly export director, since the company was founded.

Luca Mai has returned to Triangle Tyre in Europe to lead the Chinese manufacturer’s off-the-road tyre segment. OTR specialist Mai left his position as OTR director Europe at the end of August 2021 having joined the company in 2019. The OTR tyre expert previously spent two decades at Marangoni. He reassumed his tenure as part of the European Triangle team, managing the OTR segment, at the start of the year. Corrado Moglia, CEO of Triangle Europe said Mai’s “skills, experience, and knowledge of the sector, with the passion that sets him apart, will help us achieve our goals.”
